Young Croatian Roboticians Participate at RoboCup Junior Montreal International Competition

Ivan Matošević and Goran Vukmanović, young roboticians from Dobriša Cesarić Elementary School in Zagreb, successfully took part at a roboticians’ competition in Montreal in June.

Comping supported the young roboticians financially, so that they could participate in a world competition and that their dreams could come true. The two roboticians had an opportunity to gain valuable experience and compare their knowledge and skills with participants from all over the world. Under the mentorship of their teacher Sonja Pavlić, Ivan and Goran competed in a demanding multidisciplinary category, OnStage Preliminary. To participate in it, they had to come up with a show and perform it on the stage, build robots for the show, program them, prepare technical documents and a poster, make PowerPoint presentations and a technical demonstration, have a technical interview and present themselves in English to an international five-member jury.

While they did not win an award, the boys excelled in the technical demonstration and technical interview. Although they were among the youngest participants, they showed impressive knowledge.

Comping congratulates these young men on their achievement and will continue to follow and stimulate young Croatian talents on their way to success.
